Ever heard of “the marshmallow test”? It’s a famous psychology study from the ‘60s and ‘80s, where researchers tested kids’ ability to resist eating a marshmallow that was right in front of them with the promise of another one coming if they didn’t eat it. Think your child couldn’t possibly resist themselves with a hunk of sugar in front of them? Well, think again. Researchers recently redid this study and found that some kids today actually wait much longer for an extra treat than kids in earlier generations.
