"Fitting in" are the two most important words growing up. Even as we get older, we're not immune from feeling a need to be accepted. Kids entering college are offered a variety of ways to be a part of a group, but recently, some of them had an especially high cost: their lives. Parents of Tim Piazza, a Penn State student who lost his life to the dangers of hazing, sat down with Rep. Patrick Meehan and Rep. Marcia Fudge, co-sponsors of an anti-hazing bill, to discuss how we can stop this growing phenomenon. Together, they encourage parents to talk to their children about standing up, speaking out and holding others, and themselves, accountable.
