For Araceli Avila of Sacramento, California, life changed forever on June 12. At a dentist appointment, her daughter Daleyza,3, was sedated in order to keep her from moving while getting crowns and having a tooth pulled. Unfortunately, she never woke up.
Daleyza isn’t alone. There have been multiple recent incidents of children falling ill or dying as a result of being sedated during dental procedures. Now, the American Academy of Pediatrics want to hold dentists accountable for what they believe is malpractice, according to a report from NBC News’ “Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly.”
