Washington State PTA
Scott Allen was elected as the first male president of the Washington State PTA (2009-2011) and has served in a variety of roles at the local, state, and National PTA levels. As a PTA member, he volunteered in his children's classrooms as a guest teacher and continues to be a strong advocate for strengthening children's academic opportunities.
Scott earned a BBA from Texas Christian University (Fort Worth, TX) and received his MBA from the University of Washington (Seattle, WA). His professional life has included stints working in the credit and banking arenas, as a financial systems consultant and most recently over 20 years as a Business Systems Analyst.
After living a majority of his life in Bellevue, Washington, he has recently relocated to Georgetown, Texas with his wife Shari and son, Benton, a recent Lake Washington Technical College graduate. Scott also has 2 daughters – Eristina, a 2012 graduate from the Montana State University Business School and Sarah, a 2013 University of Nevada, Las Vegas Hospitality Management graduate. He is also a certified USA Swimming Referee, officiating at summer league, high school, and local and national swim meets.
