Judy Willis, M.D., M.Ed. is a neurologist, former classroom teacher, and author of books for educators and parents.

After graduating Phi Beta Kappa, as the first woman graduate from Williams College, Dr. Willis attended UCLA School of Medicine, where she was awarded her medical degree. She remained at UCLA and completed a medical residency and neurology residency, and was chief resident. Dr. Willis practiced neurology for ten years before returning to university to obtain her teaching credential and master's of education from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She then taught in elementary and middle school for 10 years.

Dr. Willis currently gives lectures and conducts workshops nationally and internationally for parents and educators about learning strategies correlated with the neuroscience research about how children learn most successfully and joyfully. Dr. Willis is a staff writer for Edutopia and Psychology Today and media consultant for the American Academy of Neurology.
