Jorge Perez is VP of Youth Development, Family Enrichment and Social Responsibility for YMCA of the USA (Y-USA).
He has a longtime commitment and passion for youth development, specifically working with urban youth, which stems from his early days as a youth mentor with the YMCA more than 20 years ago. A native Texan, Jorge has over 23 years of experience in meeting community needs through a variety of health and social development programs. Before joining Y-USA, Jorge served as president and CEO for the YMCA of Southwest Illinois. He previously served as VP of Operations for the YMCA of the Greater Cincinnati, where he helped start CincyAfterSchool. Jorge earned a master’s degree in Christian Education from Dallas Theological Seminary, a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Dallas, and a bachelor’s degree in Education from Calvary Bible College in Kansas City, Missouri.
