In Philadelphia’s Strawberry Mansion neighborhood, one man turned his family’s vacant bar into a learning center for disadvantaged youth. Kevin Upshur was born and raised in the poverty-stricken community, where his mother owned a bar. Her dying wish was for him to repurpose the bar for good.
